RAS TAFARI RENAISSANCE

(Fulfillment of the Creed)

“History teaches us that unity is strength, and cautions us to submerge and overcome our differences in the quest for common goals, to strive, with all our combined strength, for the path to true African brotherhood and unity.”

For kindred who are with us for the first time welcome, and please don’t be afraid of the DARC! Remember always that the DARC Foundation exists because of you; DARC recognizes that LOVE is the cohesive force that binds us together and makes the Ras Tafari Nation Great.  DARC also recognizes that it is only by our deeds that we will achieve the ultimate, which is fulfillment of the creed.

The Diaspora African RasTafari Congress is an international All African membership organization founded on 12-12-12 by Ithiopia subjects who are committed to the principles and ideals of Negus Negast Qädamawi Haile Sellassie 1st. The vision is to adhere to His divinity and character, while maintaining international peace and security, developing friendly relations among nations and promoting social progress, better living standards and human rights.

Due to its unique international character, and the powers vested in its founding Charter, DARC provides an incomparable forum for the Great RasTafari Nation to express views and take action on a wide range of issues, through the General Assembly, the Economic and Social Council and other federations and committees.

The Organization works on a broad range of fundamental issues, from education, sustainable development, environment protection, human rights, gender equality and the advancement of women, governance, economic and social development and international health, expanding food production, and more, in order to achieve its goals and coordinate efforts aimed at fulfillment of the creed for this and future generations.

DARC is committed to help bring about the necessary changes thereby restoring dignity to the Great RasTafari Nation. 12-12-12 marks the beginning of this unprecedented quest for Ras Tafari unity along with the political and economic emancipation our people sorely needs.

“Throughout history, it has been the inaction of those who could have acted; the indifference of those who should have known better; the silence of the voice of justice when it mattered most; that has made it possible for evil to triumph.”

DARC’s 7 VIRTUES OF HONORABLE CONDUCT

1) TRUTH: Knowing the truth of self, society, and the world.

2) JUSTICE: Giving and doing that which is right, proper, and correct.

3) PROPRIETY: To give courtesy and respect to all.

4) HARMONY: Living with a conscious empathy that we all, the creator, humans, and nature are one.

5) BALANCE: Walking the middle path, the balancing of heart and mind.

6) RECIPROCITY: Knowing that all actions provoke a reaction; doing positive to receive positivity.

7) ORDER: Creating structured systems, with selfless service that maintain harmony with nature, promoting and protecting nature and humanity.

“Education develops the intellect; and the intellect distinguishes man from other creatures. It is education that enables man to harness nature and utilize her resources for the well-being and improvement of his life. The key for the betterment and completeness of modern living is education. But, ‘ Man cannot live by bread alone ‘. Man, after all, is also composed of intellect and soul. Therefore, education in general, and higher education in particular, must aim to provide, beyond the physical, food for the intellect and soul. That education which ignores man’s intrinsic nature, and neglects his intellect and reasoning power can not be considered true education.”

H.I.M. Emperor Haile Sellassie 1st
